Maryland Businesses Step Up Demand for Flexible Working

Regus’ expansion offers local businesses a new and improved way to work

Baltimore, MD – (Jun 4, 2012) – Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, has strengthened its presence in Maryland with the opening of two new suburban business centers in an effort to meet the increasing demand from area businesses for a more efficient and flexible working environment.

“The ever changing work environment demands new solutions in order to recruit the best employees and keep them. Columbia and National Harbor are certainly two key growth areas for business in Maryland.” said Kathy Snyder, President/CEO of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. “Regus is a new member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and we salute the innovation and solutions the company brings to Columbia, National Harbor and the State of Maryland.”

The new centers are located at:

· 8160 Maple Lawn Blvd. in Columbia

· 137 National Plaza in National Harbor

The centers offer access to high-quality, affordable workspace at prestigious business locations. There are no long-term traditional property agreements and Regus allows businesses to utilize their range of workspaces and business services on an as needed basis. This model of flexible working is gaining momentum as it has shown to improve work-life balance and employee productivity while driving down costs for businesses.

“The steady growth of our network reflects the importance businesses are giving to being flexible in today’s market,” said Donna Scott, Regus’ Regional Vice President. “We are finding that both small businesses and large enterprises are relying upon our model as a way of pursuing new opportunities here in Maryland and across the country.”

Regus provides small to medium-sized businesses and multinational companies access to fully equipped offices, virtual offices, meeting rooms and administrative staff as well as membership to its business lounges across the world.

“Our offering is new to these two cities. We’ve had a number of customers tell us they will be keeping their business in Maryland and avoid a commute into Washington, DC because of the professional space they can access right in their backyard,” said Scott.

Regus operates six locations in Maryland and has plans to open more locations in the state later this year.
